Inclusion Services for Special Needs

DESCRIPTION:

Special Reserve Funds are used to supplement State funding to help children with special needs thrive in licensed child care settings. Funding is used to provide one-on-one support – see Early Childhood Education description.

About the Special Reserve Fund:

First 5 Contra Costa established a Special Reserve Fund in 2003 when it set aside $6 million to respond to the impact on First 5 Strategies from state and local budget reductions. Funding is approved for three years only, starting FY 2005-06 and ending FY 2007-08.
