Make a Difference for Kids in Your Neighborhood! Apply for a Family-Friendly Community Grant!
First 5 Contra Costa provides Family-Friendly Community Grants up to $10,000 for local projects that benefit children age five and younger and their families.
- Clean up Your Neighborhood, Improve Your Community (up to $5,000)
- Promote Optimal Child Health (up to $5,000)
- Improve Your Neighborhood Park or Playground (up to $10,000)
- Provide Education and Training for Parents and Caregivers (up to $5,000)
- Coordinate Community Gatherings, Health Fairs, or Celebrations (up to $5,000
- Conduct Literacy Projects (up to $3,000)
Non-profit organizations, community groups with at least five people, city agencies, public adult schools, and public libraries are eligible.
Results
Since 2001, First 5 Contra Costa has awarded nearly 280 Family-Friendly Community Grants, totaling $1.2 million.
