Building Blocks For Kids

Building Blocks for Kids (BBK) is a collaborative made up of over two dozen agencies committed to improving conditions for children and families residing in the Iron Triangle neighborhood of Richmond. The project aims to support the healthy development and education of all children and the self-sufficiency of all family be engaging the community, block by block.

Healthy And Active Before 5

Healthy and Active Before 5 is a collaborative effort to develop and implement a countywide action plan to address the problems of early childhood obesity. The plan encompasses a wide perspective of forces that influence healthy eating and active living for children ages birth through five years.

Safe And Bright Futures For Children Exposed To Domestic Violence

Supported by a planning grant from the Federal Department of Health and Human Services, over 20 public and private agencies, including First 5 Contra Costa, have participated in the Safe & Bright Futures for Children Exposed to Domestic Violence partnership since 2005. The partnership, with input from over 200 community members in an extensive assessment process, has developed a strategic plan to reduce the impact of domestic violence on Contra Costa’s children.
