West County Regional Group
Mission Statement:
To make West Contra Costa a healthy, safe and family friendly place to live, to empower and involve community members and to advocate for young children.
The West County Regional Group (WCRG) sponsors the annual “Healthy & Active Kids! Super Saturday Family Fest” for young children and their families. The festival features educational and fun entertainment, music, demonstrations and extensive resource information for parents and caregivers. This year’s Super Saturday Family Fest will be held October 11th, 2008!
The West County Regional Group is committed to reducing childhood overweight and obesity. The Group is currently exploring partnerships with different agencies to offer free/affordable sports classes to young children.
