Security Partnership (FESP)

The FESP is a public, private and nonprofit collaboration dedicated to increasing the income and building the assets of low-income families and individuals living in Contra Costa County.

Long term goals are to:

  • Create a countywide vision and strategies to better leverage community resources and enhance community collaboration in order to increase the economic security of low-income families and individuals.
  • Implement initiatives to help low-income families and individuals increase their financial knowledge, well-being and assets.

Currently, First 5 Contra Costa is providing staff support to FESP. For more information about FESP’s mission, goals, accomplishments and Coordinating Council members, please click here for the FESP overview.

On May 23, 2007, FESP sponsored a one day strategic planning session. Public officials, public and private agencies, and community-based organizations met to help FESP identify strategies and activities for year-round asset development in Contra Costa County. The Coordinating Council will continue to meet to identify resources in order to support current FESP activities and implement new asset development strategies.
